Best Decision Ever!
My husband and I moved here a little over a year ago and we are so happy we picked Evergreens as our next home! The office ... staff is very pleasant, plan fun parties for the residents and are always available for any problems that may arise. Maintenance is the BEST! They are quick to respond to any maintenance issue. The building is kept so clean and the landscaping is very pretty. Some of the residents have started book clubs, card games, mahjong, bingo, knitting and many other fun activities. The social committee holds many parties throughout the year also, which are always a lot of fun! The residents here are a great group of people! My apartment has everything I need for now and for many years to come. The Leasing Office staff, Leona, Brooke, Diane, and Maintenance staff, Damien, Wilson, Julie, are true professionals, who seem to effortlessly perform their daily tasks with skill, kindness, and patience. The Leasing Office is like a knowledgeable concierge staff, willing to help with the smallest or largest detail. They are so important to the varied residents. When you need maintenance service in your apartment, it is completed amazingly fast, like you are their only task, when we know they have many responsibilites. The office staff of Leona, Brooke and Diane ... is very friendly and capable, always welcoming, and sponsor terrific events (tea, pizza, brunch, etc.) to encourage community. The maintenance staff is the best. The common areas are immaculate and any problems in the unit are quickly and competently addressed (thank you Damien and Wilson). The grounds are lovely, the pool is a treat in the summer. There are a myriad of activities and exercise programs. We especially like the billiards room and exercise facility. have been living here 9 months and find Evergreen to be an excellent place to live. It kept clean, maintenance is complete, ... the amenities are top notch, staff is very accommodating, and location is ideal. Just went through my first snow here and yesterday during the lull in the snowfall the walkways were already clean and driving was easily passable. This morning I went out an dexcep for the snow on the cars a some snow pushed off to the side where it didn't impact on anything, you would never have know it snowed 13 inches (per news reports). Betty and I have been here for 10 months and we are very happy to a certain extent... The noise level is the greatest problem. ... Especially in the summer time when Merriweather is pounding out there blaring music be it symphonic or rock. There should be something done with the county noise control dept to require MP to lower their decibel levels to a level that is less then 63dB at bedroom floors. That would make a lot of residents in our community very happy. Who knows maybe it would increase attendance at the same time! I personally feel sorry for the new renters that will move into the apts that are being constructed closer to MP because they definitely will be most unhappy.. Other than that I think we are adjusting to the bus traffic noise or whine and the additional extremely loud cars that sometimes speed by this place. As you can see with our ratings above we are definitely very happy living at Evergreens on all accounts, except those stated above. 10 year anniversary
Ten years ago this month I moved in. Job transfer from So Ca and I'd found EVERGREENS on the WEB and liked it but felt it ... would be out of my price range, Made a deposit in Gaithersburg but on my way back to Owens Mills where I was staying stopped at Nordstrom and spotted EVERGREENS. Decided I had to see inside. I was shown the model and an apartment and then she opened the door to "mine". Never been lived in, small and cozy and I knew it was mine. Completed the arrangements---got my deposit back from Gaithersburg and lived "happily ever after." Would you believe, Leona's mother-in-law was a "distant" relative of mine!!! And Jim used to live in So Calif so we've shared many memories. All the staff goes overboard to be helpful and friendly. LA has come to my rescue many times. And I especially appreciate knowing that we have a caring "baby sitter" during bad storms. I love the safety, quietness, comfort and closeness to everything I need/want. Genuine concern fr resident needs
WE MOVED HERE ALMOST 11 YEARS AGO DUE TO MY HUSBANDS STROKE. THERE WERE MANY TRYING TIMES FOR BOTH OF US AND SADLY DR. CANION ... PASSED AWAY LAST JUNE. THE STAFF AT EVERGREENS HAVE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE FROM ARRANGING A SUDDEN MOVE TO A SMALLER APARTMENT TO HELPING ME GET ADJUSTED TO A NEW LIFE WHICH IS VERY DIFFICULT WHEN THERE IS AN UNEXPECTED TRAGEDY IN ONE'S LIFE.. TRYING TO GET USED TO A NEW HOME UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES HAS BEEN EMOTIONALLY DRAINING BUT THE STAFF HAS MADE SURE I AM COMFORTABLE AND CARING FOR NEEDS I MIGHT HAVE IN THE APARTMENT. I CALL IT "HOME.". I PRAY GOD THIS WILL CONTINUE BECAUSE I PLAN TO SPEND MY REMAINING YEARS HERE, SURROUNDED BY SUCH WONDERFUL AND CARING PEOPLE.
